Make Your Enamel Pins with WisePins

From choosing the enamel finish to checking the sample, we help you create a pin that feels like your design.

1. A Focus on Custom Pins

Established in 2010, WisePins specializes in custom pins and badges. Soft and hard enamel are part of our range, so we can help you compare both looks for your artwork.

2. Our Own Factory

Our own factory has a team of 27 people. You work with us to take the pin from an idea to an approved sample and a finished order.

3. See the Design in Enamel

A physical sample lets you feel the surface and see the colors and metal lines together. You approve the sample and specifications before we begin the bulk order.

4. Help with Your First Idea

You can start with a logo, photo or description. We help you decide how the shape, colors and metal details can work as an enamel pin.

5. Details Checked Before Shipment

We check colors and artwork, dimensions and appearance, backings, quantities, and packaging against the agreed requirements. Any problems found are addressed before dispatch.

6. Photos and Videos for Your Project

We can provide factory or production photos and videos for your project, with the coverage agreed for your order.

Create Your Enamel Pin Style

Bring us a logo, illustrated character, or emblem you want to make into a pin. We'll help you develop the enamel finish, outline, and metal details around that idea.

Choose Soft or Hard Enamel

Start with the surface you want: raised metal lines with recessed color, or a smooth finish where the enamel meets the metal.

  • Soft Enamel
Recessed enamel leaves the metal outlines raised, giving the design a textured surface. This suits artwork where defined metal lines are part of the look.
  • Hard Enamel
The enamel surface is finished level with the metal outlines for a smoother feel. Choose it when you want a flat, polished appearance.
  • Solid Colors and Pantone References
Use distinct enamel colors for a recognizable logo, mascot or emblem. Pantone references can guide the choice, and the sample shows how those colors look beside the metal.
  • Metal Lines and Color Areas
Metal lines separate the enamel colors and become part of the artwork. We help balance those lines with lettering and color areas so the design reads at pin size.

Shape Your Pin Around the Artwork

Use a simple outline to frame a logo, or follow the silhouette of the design. The size should give lettering and color areas enough room to read.

  • Round and Oval
A continuous curved border frames emblems and centered artwork. Round and oval shapes work well when the design is intended to read as a badge.
  • Square and Rectangle
Straight edges frame a wordmark, horizontal logo or structured illustration. A rectangular pin gives longer artwork a different balance from a compact square.
  • Custom Die-Cut Shapes
Let the pin follow a character, symbol or logo for a distinctive silhouette. We will help check fine projections and narrow sections before the design goes into production.
  • Custom Dimensions
A small lapel pin and a detailed collector design need different amounts of space. We help choose the width, height and thickness around your artwork and how it will be worn.

Choose a Metal Finish That Frames the Colors

Treat the metal lines as another color in your design. Choose a warm, cool, dark or antique tone to work with the enamel.

  • Gold and Silver Finishes
Gold-colored metal adds a warm border, while silver-colored metal gives a cooler appearance. Compare either finish against the colors in your logo.
  • Nickel and Black Nickel
Nickel gives a bright metallic look; black nickel provides a darker metal tone. A darker outline can change how light enamel colors stand out.
  • Antique Finishes
Antique gold, antique silver, and antique brass offer an aged metal appearance. Consider them for heritage-style emblems or designs that emphasize metal detail.
  • A Finish for Your Enamel Style
Your finish needs to work with the chosen base metal and soft or hard enamel process. We help narrow the options so the border, color and surface look work together.

Choose How Your Enamel Pin Attaches

A lapel pin, bag accessory and presentation piece may need different fittings. We help match the backing to your pin's size and intended use.

  • Butterfly Clutch
A butterfly clutch is a metal fitting that fastens onto the pin post. It is an option for lapel pins and designs presented on a backing card.
  • Rubber Clutch
A rubber clutch provides a softer rear fitting on the pin post. Choose it when that backing material suits the wearer and the display.
  • Safety Pin
A safety-pin fitting uses a pin-and-catch closure. It is worth considering when the badge shape leaves suitable space on the reverse for that arrangement.
  • Magnetic Backing
A magnetic fitting avoids putting a pin post through fabric. The pin design and the material it will attach through must be considered when selecting this option.

Package Your Pins for Display or Gifting

Give your enamel pins a simple individual pack, a branded display card or a separate gift presentation.

  • Individual Poly Bags
Individual poly bags keep pins separate during packing and distribution. They offer a simple way to hand out one pin at a time.
  • Backing Cards
Put your logo or collection artwork behind the pin on a backing card. The card gives a retail design or event pin its own display space.
  • Paper Gift Boxes
A paper gift box gives a recognition pin or commemorative design a separate presentation. We match the box to the finished pin and its backing.
  • Velvet Pouches
A velvet pouch provides a soft presentation for a pin given as a gift. It is another option when you prefer a pouch to a display card or box.

The Metal Behind Your Enamel Pin

The enamel creates the color, while the base metal and finish shape the rest of the pin. We help select a compatible combination for your design.

Base Metals for Enamel Designs

Our wider pin range includes iron, brass, zinc alloy and stainless steel. For your enamel design, we recommend a base that suits its shape, enamel process and finish; those choices need to work together.

Compare the Base Metal

Stainless steel generally resists corrosion better than unprotected iron, while brass and zinc alloy have different base compositions. A gold, silver, or antique finish describes the surface appearance, not the metal underneath or a tested performance rating.

Material and Compliance Needs

Tell us if your brand or organization has a material restriction or compliance requirement. We will check what can be met for your enamel pin before preparing the quote.

Enamel Pin Ordering Questions

Answers to common decisions about enamel artwork, samples, quantities and ordering.

The minimum order quantity is 500 pieces per design. Different designs are counted separately, so quantities from different designs cannot be combined to meet the minimum.
Sample fees are quoted for the design, process, and quantity. Sampling usually takes about 10–15 days, with around 10 additional days if a new mold is needed. Review the sample and confirm the specifications before bulk production; timing depends on the design and order requirements. Learn more about sample development.
Bulk production begins after you review the sample and confirm the specifications. It generally takes about 20–25 days, depending on the order specifications and production schedule. This is production time, not transit time. See how production and delivery work.
Gradients are better suited to printing than solid enamel filling. Small lettering also needs space for the metal lines and color areas. We can help simplify details for enamel or discuss a printed pin if keeping the original gradient is important. You can judge the result on the sample before bulk production.
You can start with an idea, sketch, photo or reference image. We will help you choose soft or hard enamel and work through the size, finish, backing and packaging. If you already have AI, PDF, SVG, EPS or high-resolution PNG artwork, send it along. An estimated quantity helps us plan the order; the final choices and delivery destination let us prepare an accurate quote.
